The Dementia Friends initiative is a global movement, active in 33 countries and recently launched in California.

A Dementia Friend is someone who, through an in-person or online session, learns about what it’s like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action.

Anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend – we all have a part to play in creating dementia friendly communities! From telling friends about the Dementia Friends program to visiting someone who is living with dementia, every action counts.

Orange County is home to 84,000 adults living with, or at risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

Please join us in making Orange County a friendlier place for those living with dementia – become a Dementia Friend
