Neuropsychiatric Symptoms in Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias (Zoom)

This presentation explores the neuropsychiatric symptoms commonly associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Participants will explore the causes, manifestations, and impacts of symptoms such as agitation, depression, anxiety, and psychosis on patients and caregivers. The course will also cover current strategies for managing these symptoms, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches, with an emphasis on improving quality of life and patient outcomes

At completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand and describe the common neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
  2. Evaluate and discuss current management strategies for neuropsychiatric symptoms, including both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  3. Assess the impact of neuropsychiatric symptoms on patients and caregivers and explore supportive measures to enhance quality of life.
