Join us for an insightful session exploring the principles of rights-based dementia care. This course highlights how professionals and caregivers can uphold the dignity, autonomy, and human rights of individuals living with dementia. Learn practical strategies to integrate rights-based principles into care plans, improve communication, and create supportive environments that empower individuals and their care partners. Participants will explore key principles of rights-based care, strategies to implement these principles in daily practice, and ways to advocate for systemic change in dementia care.

At completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Discover strategies to empower individuals with dementia while respecting their personal rights and choices.
  2. Identify and navigate common ethical dilemmas in dementia care using a rights-based approach.
  3. Learn the key principles of rights-based dementia care and how they impact quality of life.
