Get answers to the biggest questions you may have about the day of Walk4ALZ 2024 and learn vital information you need to know ahead of the event.
Will the event be postponed due to rain?
Walk4ALZ will proceed as planned and has not been cancelled or rescheduled. As of right now, there is a chance of rain, so we encourage you to bring an umbrella and a rain jacket just in case. Arrangements are being made to minimize it’s impact on the event should it end up raining.
What should I bring to walk?
Wear comfortable clothing, dress in layers and don’t forget to bring your friends, family and walk spirit! Posters and photos of the person you are walking for are welcome and make the event even more memorable. Free walk bibs for you to fill in the reason you’re walking will also be available. Water will be available at the event, but you can also bring your own.
When should I plan on arriving? What’s the schedule?
Registration and the festival area opens at 8:00 am and the opening ceremony begins at 9:00 am. The walk begins right after the opening ceremony. Make sure to factor in your commute, the time it takes to park and the time it takes to go check in. We highly recommend you arrive at the event sooner rather than later to take full advantage of the festivities.
When the walk concludes the festival area, live music and activities will remain open.
What entrance should I use and where can I park?
Please make sure to enter Angel Stadium through the entrance on East Orangewood Ave. From there you will be directed to free parking at the stadium near the festival area.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be a great variety of delicious food offered by one of our many food trucks for you to choose from including:
- Nostimo Greek
- Kala Truck – Modern Latin & Mexican Cuisine
- Cruisin Fusion – Asian Fusion
- Sweet Martela’s Treats
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs can attend, but with certain limitations. While we love our furry friends, due to Angel Stadium regulations, unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the walk route or inside the stadium. We appreciate your understanding.
If you would like to bring your dog to the event, please remember:
- They must be accompanied and leashed at all times
- They are only permitted in the festival area outside the stadium
- You’re welcome to stop by Doggy Dugout for a treat and other items for your dog
