NIA is looking for volunteers for clinical research

Are you interested in volunteering for a cause? The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is looking for volunteers to participate in clinical trials to help drive research in the dementia and cognitive health fields.
The NIA, one of the 27 institutes of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), leads the federal government in research on aging and the wellbeing of older adults. . The NIA strives to gain a better understanding of the aging process, along with the diseases and conditions that come with it in order to foster healthier, more active lives for seniors. They offer an array of studies and clinical trials to participate in, such as Biomarkers and Imaging, Caregivers, Drugs and Supplements, Medical Devices, and Registries.
NIA’s work is a strong example of the importance of increased participation in Alzheimer’s clinical trials . The video below follows Keretha, a participant who discusses how the disease impactsnot only the person with Alzheimer’s, but also on their loved ones.
